This summer I spent ten weeks at Argonne National Laboratory near Lemont, IL. While there I worked out of the Environment, Safety and Health Division in the Chemistry Building; updating the Chemical Management System and AMOS chemical ordering system. In addition, I trained other students on the CMS system, contacted manufacturers about MSDS sheets and attended a number of Argonne facility tours. The experience enabled me to explore many aspects of chemistry through meeting a wide range of scientists and researchers, as well as gave me the opportunity to gain some knowledge of Argonne Facilities and programs.
