Neural Networks

Neural Networks are capable of performing some amazing tasks such as learning, generalizing, and abstracting an ideal from imperfect inputs. These achievements while impressive only scratch at the surface of the potential of neural networks. Progress in this field has been limited due to the multi-disciplinary nature of the tasks at hand. Biology (the perceptron is modeled after a neuron in the brain), physiology, computer science, and psychology (neural nets have to be taught) all have relevant things to apply to neural networks.
