Hello! My
name is Kelsey Graham and I am currently a Senior Communication
and Theatre Arts (CATA) major with concentrations in media and
communication at Monmouth College. Upon entering college,
I was not quite sure about what I wanted to do with my life
after school, however after taking a variety of classes and
meeting with different professors and experts in different
areas, I began to realize how important communication was and I
began to learn about my own personal communication styles; it
did not take me long before I realized that being a CATA major
was the right path for me to take.
Throughout my years here at Monmouth College and through my various
extra curricular activities, I have learned valuable lessons about
many different areas of the communication field. I have
developed communication skills including how to work well in
small groups; how to communicate well interpersonally; how to write
scripts, shoot, edit, and prepare artifacts for mass media use; as
well as many other skills.
These
skills which I have learned in my past three years at Monmouth have
helped me to better understand myself and the world around me.
I look forward to developing my skills further in a master's program
and then applying them in a
work setting.
