Throughout my three years
here at Monmouth, I have
relished in the idea of
being a communication major.
My entire life, I have loved
interacting with people and
discovering who they truly
are, which in turn, helps me
to better understand myself.
Whether I am giving an
oratory, writing a term
paper, or simply chatting
with my friends in the
cafeteria, I acknowledge the
importance of communication
and how it effects my daily
life.
Although I will soon be
completing my undergraduate
degree in Communication and
Media Studies, I look
forward to attending
graduate school in order to
focus my studies on the
areas of communication that
I find most intriguing. Thus
far, I have become extremely
interested in three
main areas of communication:
communication theory
interpersonal communication
organizational communication
Each one of these
concentrations, although
similar, offer different
explanations on how and why
people communicate.
When I select the graduate
program that I would like to
go into, I would like to
further my knowledge in
one or more of these areas.
