| Welcome! I am Ian Van Anden and this is my online portfolio. I
am currently a senior at Monmouth College studying for a double
major in Communication and Theater Arts (CATA) with a concentration
in media, and my second major is History. Monmouth has a strong
tradition as a liberal arts institution and has provided me with a
range of abilities and knowledge. I am involved in multiple
extracurricular activities and when combined with my double major, I
believe I am becoming a very well rounded and experienced member of
society.
While attending Monmouth College I have been extremely
involved in extra curricular activities. For the past four years I
have participated as a member of the college newspaper, The
Courier, spending two of those years as a sports editor. I am
now the Editor-in-chief of The Courier. I have
also become a member of WMCR Monmouth College’s student radio
station. In my junior year I became the sports director of the
station, a job I held throughout my senior year. I also work as a sports reporter for MC-TV the campus
television station which airs once a week.
Off campus I am very active in the Monmouth community. I lead and
started a Christian youth group called, Rock Youth Ministries, which
is a branch off River of Life International Church.

short term, and an internship page. I am currently looking to land a
print internship for the summer of 2007. My resume is also available
