My name is Jenny Babos and I am in my Senior Year at Monmouth
College in Monmouth, Illinois. I am a double major in communications
and public relations. My hometown is the village of Somonauk,
Illinois which is roughly 60 miles west of Chicago and 20 miles
south of Dekalb in the midst of several farming communities.
Throughout the years
that I have been
at
Monmouth College, I have been involved in several organizations.
My passion in life outside of
my studies lies within the
Monmouth College Track and Field team. Being involved with
athletic teams for nearly 10
years has built up my teamwork
skills, leadership qualities', and has also given me experience in
interacting with people from various backgrounds. In addition to the
communication skills I have gathered, I have also broken several
school records and have competed several times nationally in the NCAA
Championship Meet. Other
organizations that I have been involved in are Students Organized
for Service, the Monmouth College radio station
WMCR, Crimson Masque Drama Club, and
serving on Hall Council in my dormitory.
With the experience
and education that I have received
at Monmouth College I feel that I am ready for
any challenges that life is willing to put in my path.

The reason I chose
to double major in communications and public relations is simple.
Ever since I was little, I have always felt most comfortable in
social situations. Delivering presentations and speeches has always
come naturally to me. I wanted a major that would allow me to
interact with the public using various forms. There are so many
opportunities with these majors and I feel securing a career within
these fields will ensure me a life filled with the work I have
wanted to do since I was a child.
Hopefully as you go
through the pages of my portfolio you will also realize that I have
obtained various useful tools that are needed for the business
world.
