| Hello, I'm Pamela Steskal, a senior at Monmouth College.
I am double majoring in Public Relations and
Communication and Theater Arts
(CATA). I chose to
go to Monmouth College because it is a liberal arts college with
great faculty and courses that suit my needs in Monmouth, IL. I am
originally from Ewing, Nebraska, so picking a college farther away
has given me a chance to adapt to a new surrounding and make new
friends.
Activities I have participated at college include competing on the
women's golf team for two years, being on hall council as treasurer
for one year and performing in a play freshmen year. I am currently
in
Scotspeak!, a forensic and debate club that competes year round
in which I have performed in informative speaking and after dinner
speaking. This year I have been named President for ScotSpeak!. I also
work for The Courier
(college newspaper) as the advertising manager. I have been accepted into
Lambda Pi
Eta,
a communications honor society, and
Blue Key Honor Society. I work on campus as a speech
assistant, in which I help fellow students work on their speeches
for introduction to communication classes and Scotspeak!.
All of these activities have given my a wide variety of skills
along with my classes. Throughout my portfolio, you will see how both
of these things have helped me accomplish my personal goals and
course objectives in the Communications and Public Relations
departments at Monmouth College. |
