Hello and a gracious welcome to my student portfolio. My name is
Marc Arulfo and I am currently a third year student at Monmouth
College as an Art/Communication and Theater Arts (CATA) double
major. I am a graduate of Lincoln Community High School, in
Lincoln, IL, and would like to pursue a career in advertising media
or international/intercultural communication studies.
(Please
Note: I apologize sincerely for my lack of a picture!
This will be fixed
soon.)
Here on my
website, you will find many pages which exemplify my work and
studies while at Monmouth College. Of these things, you may find:
-
Internship details
-
Objectives originally set by the Communications Department, now
or soon-to-be accomplished.
-
My
personal work resume, which gives a good glimpse at my abilities
and experience in communication or media.
-
My
personal and professional goals in life to help me succeed.
More About
Me:
In
addition to being a double major, I am also a Resident Assistant,
and have recently discovered a newfound passion for interpersonal
communication and relations. I feel that there is something so
rewarding in being an R.A., that one may be able to change a life
for the better, while helping to further make dormitories and
residence halls safe environments for students.
One
other passion of mine lies in technology. Software and video
gaming have always been a hobby of mine, and there are times when my
affinity towards the technological have actually helped me in tough
situations. By having a basic understanding of hardware and
technology, I can possibly use my skills to become a more efficient
worker, or at least instruct others on how to be that way.
My
recent trip to Japan in the spring break of 2007 was indeed a
life-changing experience. Because of the culture shock, and my
innate fascination towards intercultural studies, I have become
increasingly curious to internationally-based communication studies.
Perhaps someday, I may be able to find the missing link in
intercultural communication, and better soften the blow of that same
culture shock abroad fellows may undergo.
