Hello and welcome to my online electronic portfolio.  My name is Walker Filip, and I am a Junior, enrolled as a Public Relations major at Monmouth College.  I am originally from Wheaton, IL, a Chicago suburb located 20 miles due west of the Loop.

 This summer, I hope to obtain an internship in Public Relations, or a related field for a media corporation in the city of Chicago.  Hopefully this internship will give me some of the experience needed for post-college life, in which I hope to become a public relations consultant.

Many of my accomplishments here at Monmouth College have given me some basic skills that will help me with my internship, and in my career.  I have spoken to freshmen about college life in large convocations, and served as a freshmen orientation leader for the college.  Furthermore, I am a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, serving currently as the house manager, and was voted “Outstanding New Member” during the 2006-07 school year.
