To determine if the objectives and goals have been met
for this unit, I am going to assess the students on their journal entries,
projects, games, and a science lesson. For the journal I am going to have
them write in it daily about what they learned that day or the previous
day.
The students will also be assessed on their projects that
they create for the duration of this unit. This is so they can show off
their creativity and so that I can see that they are following the directions
that I have given. With the projects, they will get the chance to show off
to themselves and to others in the building. It will also brighten up the
classroom. I think that I will assess the students on the games that are
planned as well. I want to make sure that the students are grasping the
concepts of owls.
I will also take one of the science experiments to
assess. This is so I can see that they are following directions, and
to see that they are trying their best to do what I have asked. This will
also give me a chance to assess them within groups or with a partner. I
will do this to see that they are getting along with people or if I need to have
a lesson on manners and how to act with others.
