My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that as a teacher, I need to make my classroom a stable and comfortable environment for my students to be in.  It is hard to create just one teaching philosophy, when I know that each class and student that I teach will differ in their various learning styles and attitudes.  Because of these variations in the students, I know that I will constantly be changing my teaching styles in order to ensure that the students gain the best education possible.  

In my opinion, students should be taught the importance of both History and Social Studies.  Students should be knowledgeable in the past because of the tendency that the past has in repeating itself.  If the students are aware of what has happened in the past, they can help make the future.  Social Studies is important to the students because it helps make them a better citizen.  As a Social Studies teacher, the teacher has a responsibility to help the student be more aware of the world around them.
