A Little Info About Myself

Since some of the people who visit my portfolio have no idea who I am, I decided to give them a little information about myself and my life.  I have lived in Galesburg, Illinois all of my life.  For those of you who do not know where Galesburg is at, it is a town with about 35,000 people right in between Chicago and St. Louis.  I have two younger sisters, Michelle and Kelsey.  Michelle is a sophomore at Monmouth College while Kelsey is a freshman at Galesburg High School.  My dad is an engineer on the Burlington Northern-Sante Fe railroad and my mom is a housewife who used to be a Spanish teacher. 

Now that you have met my family I will tell you a little more about me.  I have been interested in teaching elementary school since my later years of high school.  I would like to teach and  coach in the primary grades while taking graduate school classes.  I would eventually like to become an athletic director.  I have always loved sports, especially baseball, as the fourth graders at Lincoln Intermediate found out this fall when I student taught there.  This spring will be my fourth year of pitching for the Monmouth College baseball team. 

I also enjoy traveling.  My most recent trip was this summer when my family and I went out east.  We visited Washington D.C., Gettysburg, and Baltimore. I also drive down to St. Louis a few times every summer to check out my favorite baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals, play. 

I hope you have enjoyed learning more about me.  I know it is not a lot of information, but I just wanted to give the reader an idea of who I am and what my interests are.  I also hope you have enjoyed visiting my electronic portfolio and hope that you have taken some useful information from it.
