Research Interests
My
research interests center around attempting to
understand human drug use, drug craving and addiction.
In order to do this, I draw on a number of subfields
of psychology, including health, biopsychology,
cognition, behavioral, and clinical psychology.
Two ways that I have approached this issue are by
using cue exposure techniques and by examining
attentional biases to drug stimuli (by using the
Modified Stroop Task).
Other research interests include the links between
religious or spiritual faith and physical health, and
psychological influences on pain perception.
