Scotspeak - The Academic & Forensics Society of Monmouth College is one organization that sponsors a number of activities during the year. The Executive Board - which is comprised of leaders from every activity - assembles and using data compiled between the Spring semester and the new year to determine what activities are in demand and allocates resources accordingly.

Scotspeak was founded in September of 2002, ending a hiatus of over thirty years that existed at Monmouth College without competitive forensics activities. The Society consists of over eighty members. In addition to the activities offered by Scotspeak, you will find few organizations on campus that do not have at least one Scotspeak member among it members.

We also boast one of the highest GPAs of any organization on campus and are active in the growth and development of the college in a myriad of ways. In our first year, Scotspeak participated in conferences and competitions in three states and has proven that students at Monmouth can compete with those from throughout the nation. After two years, we have proven that Monmouth College students want and can support academic competitive activities. All that is missing, is adequate funding and support.

Constitution

In its first year on campus, Scotspeak! was named 2003 Student Organization of the Year in recognition of its dedication to creating one of the most viable and prosperous organizations at Monmouth College.
