Track & Field Coaches: Roger Haynes, 15th year / Chris Pio, 9th year / Brian Woodard, 1st year

Roger Haynes is in his 15th season as the men's indoor and outdoor track & field coach and has directed the program to unparalleled success. The dominant team in the Midwest Conference since 1990, the Fighting Scots have won six of the last eight outdoor track & field conference titles, including the last three in a row (1995-96-97). Monmouth athletes have won 147 individual and relay conference titles and the program can claim 63 NCAA Outdoor National Championship qualifiers and 19 outdoor All-Americans. A former school record holder in the high jump, Haynes graduated from Monmouth in 1982 and still holds the college record in the javelin throw (205'8"). He was inducted into the Monmouth M-Club Hall of Fame in 1997. Haynes also serves as an instructor in the Department of Physical Education and is the defensive coordinator for the football team in the fall. E-mail address:
