KARI SHIMMIN returns to her alma mater to coach the Fighting Scots' volleyball team this fall after a two-year stint in industry. Shimmin, a 1997 Monmouth graduate, was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball and holds career records for most kills, attempts, digs and service aces. A two-time All-Midwest Conference volleyball selection at outside hitter (1995 and 1996), Shimmin also holds single-season marks for aces and digs. She is currently working on a master's degree at Western Illinois University. Shimmin will be assisted by CHERI MCNALL, a nine-year veteran of the Fighting Scots' coaching staff, and by student-assistants Chris Morris, Will Christiansen, Jackie Yasko and Kaci Bailey.
