Counseling.
Preserving your mental health is directly related to living a healthy, productive and well-rounded life.

Everyone must learn to deal with present stress, past hurts, and painful memories as well as future fears and worries.

The Counseling Center can help you develop ways in which to cope effectively with life’s demands. The Center is staffed with experienced professionals from fields of psychiatry, social work, psychology and nursing.

Counseling and treatment programs are specifically orientated to the individual being served.

Who are we?

Cindy Beadles, M.S.Ed.
Ms. Cindy Beadles is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She is a graduate of Western Illinois University and has 20 years professional experience in counseling, employee assistance programming, and child welfare. Ms. Beadles has expertise in psychological assessment and in working with clients of all ages in short-terms individual, couple, family and group therapy. In addition, she is trained and specialized in the treatment of alcohol/substance abuse and other addiction problems, codependent relationship and dysfunctional family issues, behavioral disorders, depression/anxiety and emotional disturbances, and adjustment disorders.

Mark Calvert, MA,  LCPC
Mark Calvert is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and completed his graduate training at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He has a wide range of professional experience including the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, addictions, anger and stress management. adjustment difficulties, test anxiety, improving study skills, and dealing effectively with relationship problems. In addition to assisting students through the Counseling Center at Monmouth, Mark works in private practice counseling individuals, couples and families.

Lestari W. Meier or Wisnu Meier, MA, LPC NCC
Wisnu Meier is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. She graduated from Bradley University, Peoria, IL. Currently, she works in a private practice setting, providing services for clients through their Employee Assistant Program with personal and family/parenting/relationship issues. Her areas of expertise include grief and loss, depression/anxiety/self-esteem, relationship issues, anger management, stress management, and adjustment disorders. In her practice, she utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy most often.
