The Office of Intercultural Life also supports the particular needs of its
International Students.

Here are some of the services provided to International
Students:
- Assistance in matters related to the USCIS and SEVIS rules and regulations.
- Counseling, advising, and assistance on personal and college related issues.
- Assistance in adjustment to college life.
- Assistance in adjusting to life in the US through its host family program.
- Providing information on Internships, in collaboration with other offices.
Intercultural Programming in collaboration with other offices include:
a) Monmouth Cultural Festival: American minority and international students
participate in this event to celebrate the diversity of cultures present on our
campus. This event draws visitors from the city of Monmouth and surrounding
areas.
b) International Film Festivals: In collaboration with International Club, the
Office of Intercultural Life organizes International Film Festivals where films
from around the world are shown to the campus community.
c) Fashion Show: International Club organizes Fashion Shows where students
display their traditional clothes from their countries.
d) Educational Trips: In collaboration with the International Club, the Office
of Intercultural Life organizes educational trips to Metropolitan cities like
Chicago and Springfield, Illinois. All members of the college community are
welcome to participate.
e) Leadership Conferences: International Students are encouraged to attend
leadership conferences on campus as well as conferences held on other campuses,
especially at the ACM campuses.
f) Host Family Program: The Office of Intercultural Life has a host family
program for its international students. Students are assigned with volunteer
families from within the community who serve as host families for International
Students. The purpose of the program is to provide a “home away from home” to
the student. The students are introduced to a broad spectrum of American life
and culture and in turn the families get a chance to learn about the culture and
traditions of the student. |
