Students eligible for campus work-study through the Financial Aid office may be employed in
the Stockdale Student Center as managers or switchboard operators.
Applications are available in the
spring semester for the following year’s employment.
Each fall a few positions remain open for incoming students.
These positions are filled within the first month of classes by scheduling an
appointment with the Associate Dean in the Stockdale Student Center Office.

Stockdale Student Center Manager Hours: |
Managers will staff the Stockdale Student Center Office during all campus breaks when
residence halls remain open.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Staff the Stockdale Student Center Office when professional staff
has left for the day.

Answer the College switchboard in a professional, pleasant and
helpful manner.

Balance cash boxes.
-
Sell stamps.
-
Cash checks.
-
Make room reservations.
-
Handle any problems that arise with a campus event.

Dispatch maintenance personnel for emergency situations and
building mechanical problems.
-
Make roves through the building, checking general appearance of
the building, noting any problems in the manager logbook.
-
Secure the building at the end of each shift.
-
Provide general information about the campus and campus events.
Switchboard Operator
Switchboard operator hours are Monday
through Friday from 8:00
a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Switchboard
operators are not expected to work during campus breaks.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Answer College switchboard in a professional, pleasant and
helpful manner.

Provide general information about the campus and campus events.

Distribute campus phone numbers.
-
Cash checks.
-
Sell stamps.
-
Miscellaneous office tasks: errands, copies, filing, etc.

Involvement Center
One student staff position is available in the Involvement Center.

ARAMARK Dining Services
Students do not need to be eligible for work-study to be employed by ARAMARK.
