Housekeeping and Maintenance Regulations
2009 - 2010

Residents are responsible for the general condition of their rooms at all times, for the proper use of all furnishings, for reasonable cleanliness and upkeep, and for reimbursement for damage to the room, furnishings, windows, and doors. Residents are also held collectively responsible for damages in common areas of the building such as hallways and lounges. Under no circumstances is College furniture to be removed from student rooms or public areas.

Bowers Hall, North Hall, and Founders Village residents are issued appropriate furniture upon check-in and are not permitted to bring additional furniture.

Residents may use only the room furniture assigned to them. Lounge and living room furniture is to remain in designated rooms.

Students supply their own linens, towels, and washcloths. Students are held responsible for the cleanliness of their rooms and furnishings. Physical Plant staff will clean the public places, such as bathrooms and lounge areas, but student responsibility in keeping these areas clean is expected.

Students living in Bowers Hall, North Hall and Founders Village are responsible for cleaning the bathroom in their suite. Cleaning supplies will be supplied at the beginning of each semester.  Residence Hall staff will perform regular health & safety inspections.
