What should I bring?
A list of recommended items to bring to school with you can be found in the new student handbook that was given to you during the SOAR program.

How do I find out about personal property insurance
Personal belongings are normally covered under family homeowner's insurance, and students are encouraged to be covered by such a policy.

What do I do when I first arrive on campus?
When you first arrive on Saturday, you should unload your vehicle at your residence hall and then register at the Stockdale Center to receive your orientation information.

How do I purchase my books?
Text books and supplies can be purchased by bringing the student's schedule to the Monmouth College bookstore.

When should I arrive?
The times of arrival are listed as follows:
9 a.m. – 11 a.m. A – L
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. M – Z
We ask that you please try to follow the designated times.

If I am bringing my own computer to hookup to the network in my room, what specs should it have.
In order to connect to the Monmouth College network, your personal computer must have a Microsoft Windows (95, 98, ME, XP, or 2000), Macintosh, or Unix operating system, an Ethernet network adapter, and a data (network) cable. No other specifications are required. Currently, the college provides full network support for personal computers that have a Windows operating system.

What if I haven't decided on a major?
That is OK! The academic advisors will be able to help you get on the right track to helping you decided what discipline may interest you the best.

How can I find out if Monmouth College offers an academic area that I am interested in?

How can I find out more about clubs and organizations?
Check out our Student Life section on line or review the materials on Student Organizations in the new student handbook.

Where is MC located - how long does it take to get to campus?
There are directions to MC online, as well as information on over-night accommodations. Monmouth Inn offers a discount, if requested at the time of reservation.

Where can we receive medical care in the area?
OSF Holy Family Medical Center of Monmouth is available 24 hours every day for medical attention.

How do I audition for a Music Ensemble?
The Director of Vocal Ensembles will be available at the involvement fair on Sunday if you are interested in auditioning for one of the vocal ensembles on campus.
