Hello All! My name is Anastasia Field, but I typically go by Stacey. I am a senior Theatre major with a minor in Media. This is my first year as an Orientation Leader but I am definitely looking forward to the experience. I was born in Chicago and happened to find Monmouth because of the Theatre program and have loved it ever since. I find at times that I sing randomly with or without people around me as well as when I'm driving to where ever the destination may be. I've been playing the drums since I was twelve and love having a birthday around Thanksgiving. I am a major sports fan- especially my favorite hometown team- the Chicago White Sox. I also love everything that has to do with photography, movies and music. I am involved in the Theatre honor society on campus and have plans to have a part time summer job while fulfilling my internship at Northlight Theatre. I love traveling around the world and am looking forward to getting to know all of you! See you soon! :)

Yo Yo Yiggady Yo! My name is Sara Fitch and I am about to start my senior year at Monmouth. It has been an amazing 3 years and I can’t wait to see what this year brings. This will be my third year as an Orientation Leader! I am a Business major with a minor in Communications. I am involved with my sorority and currently am the membership VP. I am from Cary, Illinois and have lived in the same house my whole life. This summer I will be taking a trip to Colorado to vacation and attend a conference for my sorority. I love to travel especially somewhere tropical. I have been to Hawaii and to the Caribbean twice. I have also traveled around much of the U.S. and to London. Traveling is a part of my life! I also love to watch movies and a lot of TV series, specifically: Bones!!!, Supernatural, Weeds, Survivor, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, TrueBlood, Gilmore Girls, and Greek. I also like to read. My favorite books are the Twilight series and the Sookie Stackhouse novels (the books that the TV show Trueblood are based on). That's me in a few sentences! See you soon!

Image of Nick Flemming.NICK FLEMMING
Hey, I’m Nick Flemming. I was born and raised in Sherman, IL where I still live. I will be a sophomore here at Monmouth College and I love it so far. This will be my first year as an Orientation Leader and I’m really excited to get the chance to participate in this. I’m currently an Accounting and/or Economics major; I’m not sure which one will turn out for me or maybe both. My activities on campus mainly consist of being a very active member of Greek
Life. Over the summer and during the different breaks of the year I work at a golf course and I love doing that. I get to play free golf anytime that I want to there and that is a great deal, because I can’t think of anything more fun to do than golfing. Looking forward to seeing you in August.

Image of Jim Fry.JIM FRY
Hey Future Fighting Scots! My name is Jim Fry and most people, instead of saying "Hey Jim" say 'Hey Jim Fry." I guess it is because my name is only two syllables and it is easy for people to remember. I am a Communication-Media major with a minor in Religious Studies and Political Science. I am from the best town in the Midwest, Monmouth, Illinois. Yes, that is right Future Fighting Scots, I am what you would call a townie...don't be jealous. I enjoy long walks down the sidewalks of town haha... no, but really I do… I like to run as well. I play piano and like to listen to and write my own music. Pretty much if you like any kind of music we will get along...and if you have a good sense of humor. I am a huge fan of the show LOST and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I am involved with The Courier, which is our campus newspaper. I am a Scot Ambassador, Student Chaplain, and involved in a lot of other activities. If you want to get in touch with me or have any questions or anything, my email is jfry@monm.edu. Looking forward to seeing you all at Orientation. Peace.

Image of Heather Hall.HEATHER HALL
Hey Guys and Gals! My name is Heather Hall and I am a Lead Orientation Leader. I was born in Virginia, raised in Moline, Illinois, and now live in Bettendorf, Iowa. When I came to Monmouth College I knew it was exactly the right place for me. I absolutely love theatre, the color pink, music & movies, and my friends. I am a senior Theatre, English, and Education major. In my spare time I volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters, do anything theatre related, listen to music, hang out with my fantastic roomie, read, color(yeah I know, I’m just like a little kid), and love to do things like scrapbooking and other crafty type things. My plans for the future include going to grad school so that I can teach Theatre or English at a collegiate level and work with a professional theater, perhaps even doing some work with children’s theatre. I also love to travel and have been a lot of places including; England, Ireland, and Wales. Not many people know this but I love to bake and decorate things like cookies and cakes. I would love one day to open my own bakery as a family business so that everyone else can enjoy my delicious works of art.

Image of Kassi Heald-Schmelzer.KASSI HEALD-SCHMELZER
Hello New Monmouth College students! My name is Kassi Heald-Schmelzer. I was born in Madison, Wisconsin, but moved to rural Illinois when I was three. I am a senior this year, but I will be returning for one extra semester to finish my student teaching for my Elementary Ed major. I have two majors here at Monmouth: Visual Arts and Elementary Education. I hope to start my own Children’s Exploratory Center in the future, but I’m sure I will teach for a few years before that happens. I love to make sculpture out of any materials I can think of. I use multiples and objects from nature to inspire most of my art. I’m not a very organized or a neat and tidy person. I like to live my life in a sort of “organized chaos.” I’m looking forward to meeting all of you and I hope your journey here at Monmouth College is as great as mine has been!

Image of Rachel Holm.RACHEL HOLM
Hi! I’m Rachel Holm, a sophomore from Oregon, IL. I live on a farm in the country just south of Rockford, IL. I absolutely love all my animals and spend as much time as I can with them. I also enjoy being outside. My major is currently undecided but I’m looking at Spanish and Occupational Therapy for my future. This is my first year as an Orientation Leader and I’m really excited. I love to try new foods and activities but I really enjoy swimming (my teammates here at MC are the best), listening to music, running and watching movies. I got involved with several new activities my freshmen year. The first is Monmouth Christian Fellowship and the second is water polo. My plans for the summer are to swim, get a light job and travel to Mexico for several weeks of school. I LOVE to travel and experience new things. I can’t wait to meet the new students of the 2009-2010 school year! Get pumped!

ALEX HOLT
My name is Alex Holt, and I'm from the best city in the world, Chicago. I'm a member of a fraternity here on campus as well as student senate, the Business and Economics club, and several other organizations. I love being involved on campus because you can really feel yourself making a difference in the lives of others. Other than that, I love to sit around and play guitar and sing, and go to the Huff Center to lift weights or swim. If I'm not there, you can usually find me on the quad playing Frisbee, or at the house reading. I'm a huge fan of literature and poetry. I can't wait to meet all the new students next year. It's going to be a blast!

Image of Sam Jagust.SAM JAGUST
Hi Future Scots!! I am so excited that you have chosen to come to Monmouth!! This is a really great place. I absolutely love it here. My name is Sam Jagust and I have just finished my freshman year. This is my first year as an Orientation Leader, so I am looking forward to sharing this experience with you. I am majoring in Education and French with a minor in Spanish. The education program here is amazing. It can be challenging at times but it is one of the best in the state. I am from Lockport, IL, which is right by Joliet. I tell everyone that because it is on the weather channel. I am currently involved in Grier Hall Council, Covenant Groups and Greek Life. As you can see it is very easy to get involved on campus so you should definitely get involved too. It makes your experience here, but, remember, studies come first. Also I like to work out, lifeguard, and be outside. This summer I am going to volunteer at my church camp in Wisconsin. I want to eventually live in Wisconsin. My favorite food is cheese so I don’t mind being a cheese head. Have a good summer and can’t wait to meet you this fall!!

Image of Cami Johnson.CAMI JOHNSON
Hi guys! My name is Cami Johnson, and I am a junior. I am majoring in Elementary Education. This is my first year as an Orientation Leader, but I am super excited! I encourage all of you to become very involved at Monmouth College; it is the best way to meet people. I am also a Scots Ambassador, Student Chaplain, I have been president and secretary/treasurer for Hall Council, and help raise money for Up Til’ Dawn. I love attending all of the sporting events at Monmouth College, but cheering the Fighting Scots Football Team on is my favorite. My cousin graduated from Monmouth College, who still holds a football record for the most touchdowns scored, and my grandfather built and remodeled a lot of the buildings on campus. It makes coming to college here more special. This summer I will be going to the Czech Republic for two weeks to work with troubled teens. I am nervous, but very excited at the same time. I wish you all good luck in your upcoming four years at Monmouth College. I promise you, it will be the best four years of your life. Work hard, set your goals high… and you will be just fine! Go Scots!

Image of Angela Lindorff.ANGELA LINDORFF
Hey future Scots! My name is Angela Lindorff. I grew up in Dekalb, IL. I graduated from Dekalb High School and then came here to good old Monmouth College. I am a sophomore with a double major in Communications and Public Relations. I am also considering a minor in art because I have really enjoyed the art classes I have taken. I love talking, laughing, singing in my car, texting, and traveling. I also love meeting new people, and look forward to meeting you!

Image of Alex Morgan.ALEX MORGAN
Hey there!!! My name is Alex Morgan. Lucky for me, I was born and raised in good ole' Monmouth, Illinois. In sixth grade I left this great city and moved west to Olathe, Kansas, where I attended Olathe Northwest High School and spent my time playing basketball, singing in choir, being a part of Raven Flight Corps, and living the high school life. Then, I decided it was time to return back to my roots, and follow in the footsteps of most of my family and become a Scot!!! I am a junior Business and Public Relations major with a possible minor in Journalism. After I leave this lovely place, I plan on either going to grad. school, or working for my mom’s company. My life revolves around my family and friends. Music and sports are my passions and I love all types of both! The Bears are my team and they WILL be winning a super bowl now that they have Jay Cutler!!! My favorite color is orange, I love to travel, and I love to try new and exciting things. I greatly enjoy meeting new people and can't wait to meet you guys and fill ya in about all that Monmouth has to offer. See ya soon!!! Welcome to MC!!!!!!
