Image of Chad Rowland.CHAD ROWLAND
My name is Chad Rowland. I am a junior Mathematics major from Olathe, KS. I graduated from Olathe East High School and then started my journey at Monmouth. When I came to MC, I joined a Greek organization, the Monmouth College water polo club, and the swim team. This is my first year as an Orientation Leader and I am excited because I love meeting cool new people. This summer I am coaching swimming, working at a restaurant, and watching Royals baseball. I have no idea what I am doing after college, but it is going to involve math because I love it. I am super organized and it sometimes annoys people how organized I am. I consider myself OCD although medical authorities have never confirmed it. If you want to hear about some awesome times at MC, email crowland@mom.edu and I will share some involving me and some not.

See you at orientation!

Image of Matt Travnik.MATT TRAVNIK
Hello! My name is Matt Travnik. I am a senior International Business major with a minor in Economics here at Monmouth College. I came here because of the campus and the staff just like many of you. I am also a Student Chaplain and a second year Orientation Leader. I am the president of my fraternity and wouldn’t give that experience up for anything. Image of Danny WeberDANNY WEBER
In case you were wondering, my name is Danny Weber and I’m getting ready to finish up my fourth year here at good ole’ MC. I’ve been visiting Monmouth from the not-so-famous Westchester, IL (next to Oak Brook) since I can remember, because pretty much my whole family has attended the college at some point. It’s hard to believe that I’ll be graduating soon. I’ve managed to have a little fun between classes though – whether it’s writing articles and managing the website for the Courier student paper, playing a round of golf, listening to and playing music, or just hanging out with the guys in my fraternity – and I don’t think I’d trade it for the world. As for my major, I finally found English after I tried my hand at a few others, and it seems to suit me pretty well. If I had to write four more things about myself, I’d say that I always enjoy a good movie, am a huge White Sox fan (don’t hate me), have been known to read occasionally, and I really, really, really like Dr Pepper. So long for now – see you in the Fall.

Now that I am a student at MC, I am heavily involved in Greek Life, and the Business and Economics club. Some personal fun facts about me are that I am a huge Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, and I love watching the University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team. My favorite color is blue, and my favorite restaurant is Grinders back in my home town of Moline. If there is anything that I love to do is to make people laugh, and having a good time. My goal is to spread some of those laughs and good times to others here on the Monmouth College campus.
