Course Policies

You are responsible for all assigned reading material whether or not it is discussed in class and all lecture material whether or not duplicated by readings. Class attendance is expected, although excusable absences will not count against you. You do have the responsibility of notifying me in advance about all scheduled conflicts. If you are sick enough to miss class, please see a doctor and bring a note from him or her when you return to class. You are encouraged to ask questions in class. Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated and will normally result in automatic failure of this course. I abide by the policy outlined in the Scots Guide. By enrolling in this class, you are accepting these course policies as a contract which you agree to uphold.

THEA 376 is an advanced class and requires you to keep up with assignments. Depending on your skill or prior experience, it may take more of your time than other courses. If you find yourself falling behind, please let me know. I can give you suggestions of how to cope.  You should also keep all of your assignments in the event of a possible grade dispute, and especially for your portfolio (if you are a theatre major).

On occasion, quizzes or exams may include extra credit questions.  Points from these can enhance your score, but only to the maximum face value of the test.

FINAL EXAM
Please be aware that the final exam will be in the form of a design presentation in front of the whole class. There will be only one exam given and you will not be given an opportunity to substitute any other assignment for the exam. If you are not on campus for any reason, you will lose the full value of the assignment.
