Brandon Landon - Lucky

Hello
My name is
Brandon Landon and I will be playing the role of Lucky in Waiting for
Godot.
This first week of rehearsal has been very intense for me. We started off
reading the script and digging out the multiple layers of meanings of text.
Each
word holds many different meanings on many different levels. I really enjoy
this
because it clears up what I as an actor need portray. I was however
surprised at
the speed at which everything was moving. Everyone has a really
positive
attitude and stays focused during each rehearsal. We really got off
with a
running start. I hope we continue with that attitude all the way through
the
show.

Hello It is Brandon again. This rehearsal process has been very different for me.
In high school we learned our lines, the blocking and then we put up the show.
With this production we actually spend time to understand what our character is thinking and feeling. You really get inside their head. I love it. For Lucky I have learned that he for the most part is actually scenery until he is told to think and everything comes exploding out of him no matter how painful. He can also be viewed as a sole of one of the other characters who he is tied to emotionally and literally. This week i was really impressed with Noel and Telia's relationship onstage. It is amazing how well they mesh together. I look forward to opening night.

I think that this show went very well. It was a lot of fun to be a part of. The knowledge I now have from acting in this play is incredible. I will surely miss the cast and crew as well. They were all so easy to work with. However, I would have liked to see a few more people sitting in the audience. Regardless i think it was a great show with lots of layers and everyone did a wonderful job. I hope you liked it.
