Events of the Past:

V-Day: Until the Violence Stops

Last year, C.W.A. co-sponsored "V-Week," V-Week was a variation of the V-Day phenomenon which supports the end violence against women. A fantastic production of Eve Enler's "The Vagina Monologues," was performed, accompanied by daily events such as fundraising for the local victims services shelter and information distribution around the campus.

Social Awareness Week

Last year something amazing occurred, which involved several Monmouth College awareness groups. Social Awareness Week was held in mid April of 2005. As C.W.A.'s contribution, we held a "Gender Equality Day." This day involved such events as singer/songwriter Angie Heaten and a fantastic & empowering open-mic. This coming year, we hope to provide the campus with even more opportunities to be socially aware of the lives of women.
