CWA

Coalition for Women's Awareness
|
Our Purpose CWA is open to both women and men. Its purpose is to develop a greater awareness of human potential by examining lifestyles, roles, attitudes, and values through programs and activities that are designed to meet the needs of women and men in today's world. The group has biweekly meetings on Thursday evenings at 8 pm to discuss upcoming events, campus issues, and has a review of past events. In the past CWA has sponsored events such as open mic nights for V-Day week. In 2002 and 2005 the group put on the theatrical production of the Vagina Monologues in correlation with the V-Day mission. With the help of another group on campus, ASAP, CWA recently hosted the nationally acclaimed folk singer Jamie Anderson whose latest CD Listen was released in 2001.
