The Senior Resume Assignment for Senior Colloquium requires you to do the
      following:

Review and Edit your current (Junior) resume as it appears on your
portfolio site and in pdf form.

Review and revise the skills and abilities you list
on your resume in light of what you have accomplished
since last year, what you learned in internships or independent
          studies, etc.

			Consider developing various "packages" consisting
of goals and skills arranged to maximize your attractiveness to
different types of potential employers or schools so you can readily
print a resume tailored to specific kinds of applications.  [You
			need multiple copies!]

Review how you display work history.  Be sure
it does not inadvertently make you look like a candidate for a minimum
          wage job.
        Visit
the Wackerle Center for Senior Resume assistance (optional), if desired.

Post the "general" version of your Senior Resume to your portfolio
		"Resume" page by
        the due date: 9/19.

Include a link on your resume to a 'printer friendly' version of your
resume.  The correct way to do this is with a .pdf (Adobe) format file.
[ You can make a pdf file in a matter of a couple of minutes in the COMM
Media/Computer lab using the Adobe Acrobat program -- or use the "pdf
creator" option on the printer selection box in Microsoft Office program
on campus]  You can then link to that pdf file on your
Resume portfolio page.  You could even have two pdf files linked on
your portfolio page, one regular, printer-friendly version and one "scannable"
        version of your resume.

Meet with your COMM mentor/advisor to get advice on your resume (s) as
		convenient.  (Have
your advisor email McGaan that you had a resume meeting and you'll get a
small bonus on this assignment.)  [This meeting should occur in the
early fall but does not have to occur before the due date for editing
		your on-line resume.]
