        About Chris Goble:

		 Chris Goble
started his media career early in life.  Beginning as a Disc Jockey
at a local station while in high school, He spent 12 years
spinning records for adoring fans. Chris earned his M.A. in Speech
Communication/Radio TV from Eastern Illinois University in 1996. Since then
he has worked as News Director/Instructor at Northern
Illinois University’s student television center in DeKalb, IL. After three years,
Chris left to become an Instructor in media at
Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA. After
another three years, he went to work at WQAD-TV in Moline, IL as a News
Videographer. In 2003 Chris became Night Manager/Distance
Technology Manager at Western Illinois University in
the Quad Cities. In the Fall of 2004 Monmouth
College decided to give this farm boy from Central Illinois a go
as an instructor in media technology and advisor to MC-TV.
        On the
personal side, Chris is married and has a
daughter. He not only teaches media but
pursues media as a hobby. He enjoys movies, TV and old radio
shows. His DVD collection is excessive (this information comes
from his wife Susan) and he is always willing to discuss the
appalling nature of Greedo shooting first in Star Wars Special
Edition. Chris enjoys a good joke (as this bio should
        indicate) and
hopes students always realize his door is open. |
