Meeting Dates This Week: We met during lab on Monday, 9/10 and Tuesday night, 9/11

Summary of What Was Discussed / Work Done: (Use additional page if necessary)

We did the 3 W’s, we decided on our target audience and how to cater to that audience, we decided on a format for the training program, we assigned each of us a different part of the training to research and develop, we compared the research that we had already (from different books, people, and the internet), we decided to get a questionnaire done, and we talked through a lot of the different issues that we want to cover.

Assignments for Future Work / Deadlines:

The next step is to get our individual sections researched and developed. We really wanted to make this training program as active for the trainees as possible so we are looking into some activities that we can do and other ways of having it be less lecture, more interaction. We will be talking to Trudi Peterson about some basic communication skills that will be the base of our program and she might also have some insight into some activities as well. We will be meeting again on Thursday to check on our individual work and making sure that it is all fitting together.

Our Assessment of Team Work and Task Progress (Strengths and Weaknesses):

Our biggest strength right now is the fact that everyone in the group is really carrying their own weight. We each have confidence in one another to know that work will be done on our own. Another strength is our brainstorming; we have been really clever with ways to deliver a message that is not very common and ordinary. We are constantly thinking together about ways to make our training program stand apart from anyone else’s. One weakness is still the fact that we are three very busy people who have a hard time finding a time to meet. Another weakness is the ability to stay on task when we do get together. In light of recent events, Tuesday’s meeting was a bit scattered, but that I think was to be expected.
