Summary of
What Was Discussed / Work Done: (Use additional page if necessary)
We revised out 3W’s during lab on Monday.
During that process we greatly minimized our target audience which will help enormously.
We also limited the content of our program by reducing what we were including. By
doing this we will train in less areas but train them better in the areas we stick
to. We assigned the different aspects of the program with Sudipta doing the basic
communication skills, Cari working on problem solving, Katie working on conflict
management. Cari and Katie will be working together to form both of their ideas
into one major portion. We researched our individual portions. We also made a
list of our objectives. Those objectives are as specific as possible for right
now and we are working to meet those objectives. We have assigned those
objectives to each individual.
Assignments
for Future Work / Deadlines:
Our major work for the time being
will be to continue researching and developing our individual sections. We are
forming our outline for the program. We are each evaluating the objections and
making sure it is being completely met and that all the objections tie together
into a whole. We are developing some of the activities we are planning on using
and making them fit the program. This Sunday (Sept. 24th) we will
start bringing our paper together after each of us have developed an individual
section. We are in the process (and will finish up on Sunday) the questionnaire
and the handout we will use for our Sales Pitch. We will also be working on
visual aids for our presentation this week as well.
Our
Assessment of Team Work and Task Progress (Strengths and Weaknesses):
Our biggest problem this week was
2 out of 3 of our members had a huge Finance test today (Friday). Our meeting
on Thursday was productive but it could have been more so as a huge test seemed
to block our productivity path. On Monday during lab, we were extremely
productive but we butted heads a bit and got discouraged because our ideas were
changing. We limited our audience and a great part of our program and it was
really hard to decide what aspects to get rid of. We disagrees with what to
remove and what to keep, but in the end we all compromised, came to a decision,
and we all have confidence in the decision we came to. So while our weakness
was ambiguity and indecisiveness (with some stubbornness), our strength was
overcoming those weaknesses and greatly improving our program.
