Team # 2 “Working together to Solve Problems” Client Profile We are on a mission to resolve
conflict with in organizations and help the trainees minimize conflict in
their work environment. Trainees will attend our training because the program
will enhance problem solving skills.
Several organizations will be involved in this training program. Examples of industries that we will targeted include corporate retailers, travel industry and the
automotive industry, to name a few. These skills are important to not only the
success of your department but also the company. Our training will be mandatory for all
employees of the human resource department.
The trainees will come from various
types of employment backgrounds. Their
jobs are focused mainly in the area of Human Resources, which closely
connects with the employees of the company as well as many of their
customers. Some of their day to day
tasks include liabilities, payroll, market analysis, benefits, application
for employment, interviewing, workers compensation, etc. The level of education of the trainees is
also important. Their education level
will range from that of an associates degree, bachelors degree or graduate
studies. The trainees will have at least 2 years experience with the company
and 1 year in their current profession.
Their previous training experience may include clerical skills tests,
leadership training, sexual harassment training, small group training and
possibly some training in problem solving, but not much. These trainees may be able to work with
people, but not effeciently. Team skills, problem solving skills and
small group communication skills are essential to maintaining an effective
work environment. The trainees need to
understand that dealing with a problem is different than effectively solving a problem.
In order to solve the problem, behaviors must change permanently. Both male and female trainees
are acceptable. The ages of the
trainees will range from twenty years to forty five years on average. Other demographic characteristics that
should be addressed are that of the location of industry. This industry will be located in Our training
program would benefit the trainees because the human resources department is
a source of communication within an organization. Employees in this department deal with a variety
of situations which involve not only employees, but also customers. Some topics that may be discussed in the
problem solving groups may include: liabilities/ risks, workers compensation,
complications concerning benefits, insurance, payroll increases or decreases
and general employee complaints. Human
resource employees must be capable of thinking on their feet, while
maintaining a calm and collective environment Eventually, we hope to be able to run
this program throughout the entire organization. Trainees want to walk away from this
program understanding how to solve problems while minimizing conflict in a
group oriented atmosphere. |
