Team Contract

P.S.I.

(Problem Solving Inc.)

Our team will not have a formal leader; rather the group will make decisions and delegate responsibilities as a whole.  Each week the group will be responsible for:

·        Writing weekly reports and submitting them on time to Chet.

·        Making sure that all of the members feel like they are part of the team

·        At the end of each meeting making sure that each member of the team is staying on task and that we put ourselves in a position to accomplish our team goals.

As a team we will make decisions collectively. In the case of a disagreement the team will discuss and come to a solution that will be in the best interest of the team by taking into consideration all of the suggestions that each member has.  The decision will be a product of input from all the group members and will promote a stronger social environment since each member of the group understands, through discussion, that the decision will be best for the whole group.

The entire team will meet every week on Tuesday from 2pm until 5pm.  Since this is the only time that all of the group members are available to meet collectively we will attempt to accomplish as much work as possible.  In the event that all of the work is not completed, the work will be split up between the team members.  This will allow for equal participation among each member of the team.

In the last ten minutes of each team meeting the group will discuss the upcoming deadlines and goals.  This is also a time for the voicing of concerns and/or complaints about the work completed during the meeting.  Before the meeting can officially be over the team must decide the appropriate solution to the problem.

When a group member is assigned a task it is expected that they not only complete the task, but also do so in a timely manner, as the group is relying on the task completion for overall project completion.  If the work completed by a member of the group is not accurately completed it should be voiced that more time and effort be put into their work.  If the group member refuses to cooperate, then the team will collectively meet with Chet Amagan to develop a solution.

In the case that a member is unable to attend a meeting, he /she is responsible for informing the members of the group.  This must be done within a reasonable amount of time prior to the prearranged meeting time.  If a member of the group is unable to attend it is also their responsibility to ensure that all of the materials, information, etc, assigned to them, is turned into the group or given to another group member. This will prevent the team from falling behind on their deadlines.  The reason for not attending the meeting must be valid.  If a member of the team continually misses meetings then it should be brought to the attention of Chet Amagan.
