Team 2 – Effective Oral Presentations

 

TEAM 2 WORK CONTRACT

·         No, we will not be having a designated leader in our group.  No, we will have equality amongst the group members, and assign the tasks individually. We will have a weekly agenda, and use lab time efficiently.  Assignments that need to be dealt with outside of class will be handled equally.

·         Members of the group will use team work and group decision making to deal with any frustration, and members will encouraged to express complaints in an openly. At the end of each group meeting, our group with have a pro and con session where we talk about what we are pleased with and what could use more work.

·         We will address the problem and the person in a mature manner, and if the problems escalated into something that can’t be dealt with, we will approach our boss, Chet, and ask for his opinion on how the problem should be dealt with and what action should be taken.

·         We each have the responsibility to contact each member directly through email and inform the group immediately when we find out we will be missing a meeting. Legitimate excuses include: illness, family issues, prior obligations made known to the group before the meeting that will be missed.

·         Missing three meetings without an excuse, failure to do adequate and acceptable work, and being disrespectful to other members could be grounds for removal from the group.

 

CLIENT TRAINEE PROFILE

 

·         Our initial target would be colleges looking to offer a training program for college students, ages 18-25, who are looking to enhance their oral presentation skills while preparing to enter the job market, specifically in the public relations department.

·         Colleges would be paying for this training program for their own students.

·         The trainees are students learning efficient oral presentation techniques while preparing for the jobs that will require great presenting skills in the public relations field.

·         The education level of the trainees will be college students, freshman thru senior year. All of our trainees have some previous experience with oral presentations, but this training will specifically relate to professional techniques to be used in their future career fields.

·         Being college students, we are assuming their skills are basic in oral presentations, and we are looking to enhance their knowledge. We assume that all trainees have taken a basic speech or communication class in their public relations major.

·         The ages will be 18-25, and the trainees will be of mixed races and genders. 

·         Public Relation majors will eventually try and obtain a career that will be require a lot of oral presentations. Other majors that do not require a lot of oral presentations will be recommended, but not required and do not fall under our target training group. Since the public relations market is so competitive, this will be the motivation for trainees.
