Murphy is a junior at Monmouth College. He is currently pursuing a biology
major and a chemistry minor. His biology coursework has included general
zoology, general botany, cell biology, genetics, anatomy and physiology, and
molecular biology. His chemistry coursework has included organic chemistry
I and II, general chemistry, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry. Some
of the techniques he has been able to complete include RFLP, bacterial cell
transformation/cloning, agarose gel electrophoresis, SDS PAGE, and Sanger
sequencing along with Southern blotting of agarose gels and of the
sequencing gels. |
