If I haven't said it yet...
it might be here. don't strain yourself though.
"What is the role of the citizen and the
education of citizens in resolving some of the issues in the area?"
Education. yes. that would be a nice start.
Before we start slicing into people's heads maybe we should try to teach them
how not to be idiots.

- No resolution in this field. It is a complicated field because of
the unexplained interplay between genetics and environment.
- It's difficult to speculate on the future of
intelligence studies or its potential benefits when its scholars cannot even
agree on a common definition. Too much conjecture is actually
counterproductive to advancement in the field.
- Society will have to prioritize--decide where our
greatest energy should be projected. Toward what traits and to what
end should we direct ourselves. Do people still attach a
high enough value to the enhancement and perpetuation of mental faculties?
Or have other qualities superseded it in our vision of the ideal?
- Modern attempts to cultivate intelligence during infancy and early
childhood would suggest that people have some interest in improvement.
