My name is Tom Murphy and I am a senior biology and biochemistry major at Monmouth College.  I plan on attending medical school next fall.  A legitimate question would be why am I interested in this topic?  I am interested in the topic of gene therapy because of my background in biology and biochemistry and because of my future plans of pursuing a career in medicine.  I believe this will be a very controversial topic in years to come and I feel it will impact the medical community the hardest.  I feel that gene therapy presents many new possibilities that were never there before.  However, I feel it presents many ethical questions that must be addressed before it can become what everyone hopes it will be.   If any questions arise throughout this webpage I can be reached by email.
