CLAS230 Classical Mythology:  Classical Gods and Goddesses

This Classical Mythology course focuses on the gods and goddesses of the ancient Greeks and Romans and their interaction with mortals.

Greco-Roman myths will be used to determine ancient attitudes towards deity in general, distinctions between gods and goddesses, the role of deity in the lives of heroes and ordinary mortals, and way that these deities are depicted in the modern world.

This course fulfills the Beauty and Meaning requirement.
