8 parts of speech:
Noun: person, place, thing, or idea.
Pronoun: used in place of noun phrase (i.e. I you they)
Adjective: describing words
Verb: action word
Preposition: the word proceeding a noun phrase (over, under, past, without, etc.)
Adverb: modifies verbs, tell how, when, where, why
Conjunction: and, but, or, nor, etc.
Interjection: expressions, Bravo! Good golly! Wow!
Here you are going to be writing sentences using the eight parts of speech, when
writing these sentences, underline the part of speech in which you used.
1. Write a sentence containing a noun and a verb.
2. Write a sentence using a noun, verb, and an adjective.
3. Compose a sentence with a noun, verb, adjective, and a conjunction.
4. Create a sentence that uses a noun, verb, adjective, conjunction, and pronoun.
5. Now you are going to compose a paragraph in which you are required to use all eight parts of speech, while underlining each part.
