WYATT'S 150th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Monmouth College brought to the campus and community Mark McPherson, the founding director of Daedalos Productions, who spoke to classes, community groups, and gave an evening performance of The Last Knight, with an imaginary aging Wyatt Earp reflecting on the way that John Clumm talked him into going on the lecture circuit to present a magic lantern show of the West he had known.
"When people say to me, 'Is Wyatt Earp a hero or a villain?', I say, 'Yes.'" That is McPherson's view of a ordinary man who was called by circumstance to perform some extraordinary actions.
