Add a Forum Activity

Each Moodle site has a News forum that you can use to post class announcements. You can add additional discussion forums to your site for asynchronous discussions. Instructions for adding a discussion forum are below.

  1. On the course home page, click Turn editing on.

  2. In the desired section, click Add an activity or resource.

  3. Under ACTIVITIES, select Forum.

  4. In the Forum name field, enter a name for the forum.
  5. In the Description area, enter introductory text or instructions for the forum.
  6. Configure the remaining forum settings.
  7. Click Save and return to course.
