Create a Drag and Drop Onto Image Question

  1. Open the question bank. (For instructions, see Open the Question Bank.)
  2. Click the Select a category drop-down menu and select the desired category.

  3. Click Create a new question.

  4. Select Drag and drop onto image.

  5. Under General, click the Category drop-down menu and select the desired category.

  6. In the Question name field, enter a name for the question.

  7. In the Question text field, enter the instructions.

  8. If desired, in the General feedback area, enter feedback that students will see after they answer the question (regardless of whether they answer the question correctly).
  9. Under Preview, across from Background image, upload the background image. (This is the image to which you'll add drop zones.)

  10. Under Draggable items, upload the desired images. (If you want to enter draggable text, then click the Type drop-down menu for each item, select Draggable text, and enter the desired text.)

  11. Click Save changes and continue editing.
  12. Under Drop zones, click the Draggable item drop-down menus and select the desired images or text.

  13. Under Preview, drag the draggable items to their correct locations on the background image.

  14. If desired, under Combined feedback, enter additional feedback for correct, partially correct, and/or incorrect answers.
  15. If desired, under Multiple tries, for quizzes that use Interactive with multiple tries or Adaptive mode behavior, specify a different penalty value for each incorrect attempt and/or enter hints that students will see when they select an incorrect answer.
  16. Click Save changes.
