Wireless Troubleshooting Tips
If you experience a wireless connection issue on campus, then try following the troubleshooting tips below.- Make sure you're connected to mcUsers and that your device is registered. (For more information, see Register a Wireless Device.)
- Remove or "forget" the network connection to mcUsers and then try to connect to mcUsers again.
- Restart your device. (Sometimes, just restarting your device is all that's needed to fix a wireless network connection problem.)
- If you're using a laptop, make sure Wi-Fi is enabled. (There may be a sliding switch on the side of the laptop, a key combination, or a single key that you use to turn Wi-Fi on and off.)
- Run a virus scan to make sure your computer isn't infected.
If you need further assistance, try asking your HR or RA or House Manager for help or stop by the Information Systems office during normal business hours.
