The Weeks House houses the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. It was donated to the college in 2007, and the department took up residence in 2008.
You are more than welcome to come sit in the Weeks House during the day and enjoy the quiet, relaxing atmosphere of the house.
The Weeks House is named after the Rev. Dr. Stafford Weeks, a former emeritus professor of religious studies. Weeks began working with Monmouth College in 1959 and was associated with the College until 1990.
When Stafford Weeks first came to Monmouth College, it was to take over as the College’s chaplain, a position he held for about four years. He has also served as the college’s dean or acting dean on four separate occasions. His other years at the College were filled with teaching various religious studies classes.
