Andrew Farraher - Boy
Feb. 1, 2008
Well, for
starters I am Andrew Farraher. I'm a freshman from East Peoria, IL. I am
currently majoring History,
but who knows; maybe Janeve can drag me away from
that and into Theater...only time will tell. Let's get
down to business. Being
that this is my first play, I was a little unsure of what to expect when told
that I was
cast. So far though, everyone it has been very fun. Everyone has been
totally awesome. During the first night
of rehearsal, all I could think was
"Man, I really hope I don't screw this up." Janeve and the rest of the cast
have
done so much to help me overcome that nervousness. There are times still in
rehearsal when I am still
a little unsure of whether or not I am doing what is
expected of me, but it isn't long before I am either told
"Good job," or
directed as to what I am supposed to be doing. As many teenage young men, I have
been
involved in sports for a majority of my life and I had no idea how much
acting is really like sports. Just like in
sports, there are certain moves and
reactions that you must know and do in order to be successful. Well, I
think its
about time to wrap this bad boy up. Talk to you guys later.
Well, the show is really starting to come
together. We have been getting into the "nitty gritty" of the show and
really starting to connect with our characters. I'm excited about the
direction we're heading as a cast, it has been a fun process. Everyone is
working really hard to make this a great show for you all. The set is really
coming along and starting to look really cool. I'm really excited to see
where we will go from here and I can't wait for you all to see the finished
product, I think you are going to enjoy it a lot. Well its about time for me
to get going, I'll talk to you guys later.
Hey there guys-
Well this is the last time you will hear from
me until after the show. I'm starting to get really excited coming into the
last week before the show. I can't wait for you all to see the product that
we have all worked so hard on. I really think that everyone who sees our
show will take something different from it, there are so many messages
throughout the whole play. The rehearsal process has gone by so fast and I
can't believe that we premier in less than a week! This has been an intense
learning experience for me, at first I was always questioning myself, but
now I really feel like I kind of know what I'm doing....kind of haha. I
can't wait to see everyone file into the theater and enjoy this awesome
piece of art that we have all worked so hard on.
Well well well...here we are,
its over and to everyone's surprise and disappointment Godot never came haha.
This has been one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had and I am
sad to see it come to a close. As sad as I am though, I am looking forward
to doing another production in the near future, whatever it may be. This
whole thing started as an experiment, trying something new, and it has
turned into something I have learned to enjoy. I went from being completely
in the dark to still being in the dark but with a flashlight. I have learned
a lot about theater and a lot about myself and still have a lot to learn. I
would like to thank everyone who was involved for helping me adapt to a new
environment. Last but certainly not least, I would like to thank everyone
who came out and supported us. Well shall we go? Yes, let's go...
