Prosciutto and Melon
'Prosciutto' - An aged, dry-cured, spiced Italian ham that is usually sliced thin and is served without cooking.

Ingredients:
Half a small ripe melon (either honeydew or cantaloupe)

4 slices imported prosciutto, sliced wafer thin, all edge fat removed, 1" x 4" strips

Parsley or dill for garnish

1 lemon or lime for garnish

How to Prepare:

Cut the melon in half, scoop out the seeds, remove the rind, and cut into long, slender slices, or into smaller chunks if the melon is large.

Wrap each piece of fruit in a strip of prosciutto and secure it with a toothpick.

Arrange the assembled prosciutto and melon on a large tray. Sprinkle lightly with black pepper. Garnish with parsley or dill and lemon or lime wedges.
