Why should you join SAA?
SAA helps Monmouth College graduates build networks with alumni. By expanding network connections, MC grads are more likely to achieve immediate placement in the workforce. Many alumni are willing and able to help fellow graduates of MC enter the workforce, through internships or full- time positions.
Conversely, alumni looking for interns or employees also gain from SAA. Employers post job openings to the SAA site, helping to link alumni with registered members of SAA in search of internships or employment.
In addition to network building, SAA also hosts several on-campus events which allow for student-alumni interaction. This year SAA hosted Homecoming weekend festivities, Knox weekend festivities and other events which sanctioned relationships between soon-to-be graduates and visiting alumni. These events included:
- A “meet and greet” over coffee and breakfast
- Tailgating before and after Scots home football games
- The annual bags tournament
- Marching in September's Prime Beef Festival with the SAA float
- A cocktail hour at the local alehouse to top it all off!
