Write a 3-4 page (750-1000 word) essay arguing for an answer to this question:  After suspending John for a semester, should the university reconsider his tenure application?  [Make sure you consider the entire play and not just certain parts]

  • Make sure to develop an introduction that eases your reader into the topic and provides the necessary background information.

  • Promote feelings of good will and avoid making your readers defensive.

  • Develop your essay with 2-5 reasons and support them with evidence and clear explanation.

  • Anticipate the counterarguments that your opposition will have and accommodate or refute those opposing views.

  • Make sure to argue with a reasonable tone throughout the essay.
