Blocks
Blocks are components of the course home page that appear on the right side of the page. For example, by default, new course sites have a Calendar block and an Activities block. Moodle has many other blocks you can add to your course home page, such as Upcoming Events or the HTML block. (The HTML block is a customizable block to which you can add content.)
