Children's Theatre in Performance
A study of the history, development, structures and techniques of Children's
Theatre as a performance art.
Students engage in hands-on application of skills as they assist in the
teaching of Children's Theatre Classes at the Buchanan Center for the Arts
and tour their own produciton. Professor: West
Creative Dramatics
A study of the development of Creative Dramatics as a performance,
educational and political tool. Students engage in hands-on application of
skills as they assist in the leading of Creative Dramatics classes at the
Buchanan Center for the Arts, as well as storytelling and puppetry at area
schools.

Buchanan Center Spring
Youth Production
Each spring the Monmouth College Theatre Department partners with the
Buchanan Center for the Arts to create a production. Staffed by
Monmouth College students, these producitons are filled with area second
through twelth graders. Past productions include: Alice's
Adventures in Wonderland, The Jungle
Book, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Charlottes Web.
